After the numerous rejections, I have finally been accepted! I know this is late; I found out while I was on vacation in WA. This is that detour I mentioned earlier, completing a Master program en route to becoming a doctor. So, this August, I’ll be attending Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York, NY for the Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with hopes of gaining admission into their D.O. program (w/ a cumulative GPA of 3.5 & passing the comprehensive exam) next year, but I’ll still apply to M.D. and other D.O. schools. I can now step forward toward my future (which I thought would never come, if you read my older posts) & into a place I have never been. I really do want to thank my family & friends who supported & believed in me when I almost gave up on myself.
Prayer is powerful & our merciful God works in mysterious ways. I thank Him for this blessing and the beginning to heal the sick and to care for & serve others. I read this fitting quote from a family-friend’s graduation announcement saying, “ ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’ ” (Jeremiah 29:11). These are my favorite words I have come to live by.
Congrats victor!!! Go make us all proud!!! I’m glad you’re not one to give up :) WORK HARDDDDDDDDD!!
